Anyone remember what a serious Spiderman did to Wilson Fisk while he was in jail? One hard slap, and this farce would be over. Spiderman can punch a limo across the street.
If it were Wolverine facing Batman in this thread, I wouldn't brag about his ability to destroy Nick Fury in h2h... no, I would use the showing from Bloody Choices instead --- where Wolverine beat Fury who was prepped with all kinds of high-tech, anti-metahumans gadgets from S.H.I.E.L.D.
Punisher is an inferior melee combatant to Fisk, yet he was able to handle Parker EASILY with tools --- sonics, HE grenade (like those in Counter Strike 1.6) or even a simple shotgun packed with non-lethal ammunition...
Spidey was holding back too much. In fact, Spidey when he's serious wrecks Punisher all the way, and he defeated him in 1974 comic book where Frank had appeared at first time.
Their first fight was interrupted by Jackal, and Spidey whgo broke free from a rope which can restrain 10 people was getting the upperhand against Punisher, but Jackal hit him in the back.
Later, Spidey just dodged all Punisher's bullets and one-shotted him.
Frank had obviously prepped for the battle against Spider-Man. This isn’t something that Bruce has the luxury of doing. Full capacity for both instead of the low-ball tactics that work only when not called on it. One massive hit is all that it would take. Spider is faster, stronger, more durable, has low precognitive powers, and has the tech to seal the deal. Unless of course as I mentioned, we want to use his low showings in order to prove a point? If so, can we do the same with Batman?
It was estimated that Spider-Man had to be a class 100 character in his movies alone. The shi- that he held together was estimated to 3200 tons. After the ship had split in two he was able to hold it together and each portion weighed in at 1600 ton a piece. Movies typically showcase characters to be weaker than their comic book counterparts.
In comics he was able to pick up a train car, hold up the weight of a building, and many other feats that laugh at the idea of him being a Class 10 ton character. When serious he exceeds that classification by leaps and bounds.
