Right - a new season is upon us.

WHO WANTS TO BE IN THE SUMMER TOURNEY???

I probably wouldn't be joining this time, but am happy to host - any takers? I was envisaging a street level tourney this time, no stupid Moon hurling or trillion clones....

funny you mention it. smurph and i had discussed a tourney, but it wasn't street. i can send you the rules we were hashing out if you want to take a look. i think smurph and i were both planning to take part in it. i might do a street one, depending on the rules. def not into another fully randomly drawn tourney though.

By streets you mean up to...mid-meta? low meta?

How many? Randomized?

So if it is a High Meta tourney, does that mean I can count three participants (Dambo/Sin/Phildo)?

ok, the idea was only roughly etched out, but here it is in its infancy:

so maybe allow a draft of the character and a random weapon, or a random character and draft a weapon.

random is fine IF most of the characters or weapons are of comparable powers. but if someone draws (A) and someone draws (B) and (B) has no realistic way to beat (A) then it's not only no fun, but mostly pointless. if we go random, i'd suggest a smaller pool or comparable characters. that way luck of the draw plays little to no factor in deciding the outcomes of a match up.

feel free to add to the rules or discard them.
