I do believe that I've heard the same. Wolverine was originally going to have Spiderman level strength (and some other things I can't recall right this second) but they decided against it.
So I don't see how it pertains to this thread, no one is arguing that he CURRENTLY has Spiderman level strength, .
Also, I think Wolverine is being highly underestimated. Will he beat a Spiderman that is going all out? No. Spiderman is too quick, and too versatile.
However, Spiderman WOULD lose a majority if he tried to go toe to toe with Wolverine.
I just believe that he has more options than Logan does, in the avenues of webbing, and hit & run tactics, mainly.
The Punisher got a slash from Wolverines claws in the face and he's got no powers. The slash didnt seem to phase him. He also beat Wolverine in that fight.

[B]Dunno, got it from the owned thread, close to the beginning somewhere... might be page 10 - 15, somewhere round about there, definitely before page 15.

Re-read my post. "No one is arguing that he currently has Spiderman level strength."
Capt it up was talking with other posters regarding whether or not his original conception included Super Strength or not. I've heard that it DID, but it doesn't matter if his original conception included super strength considering that it was quickly stripped from him thereafter.
Thus, why even argue whether he was originally intended to be super strong or not? Intentions don't matter, what HAPPENED matters.
Get it now? Or should I try to break it down into smaller words for you?
Actually, Spidey has superhuman durability. Enemies have broken their hands just hitting his body. Scorpion (stronger and more durable than Spidey) really hurt his hands badly when he was punching Spidey in the gut.
reread the post moron if someone who wasnt tracking you comments up to that point came in and saw your post they could have taken it either way from what you posted it sounded like you were saying he had super strenght i'm not going to go back over all these comments just to see what side your

You're calling ME a moron when you lack even the simplest of cognitive abilities? What's up with that? You walk in a thread, read "No one is arguing that Wolverine has Superstrength," and then go ape shit "Are you trying to say Wolverine has superstrength?!"
