Well is Willy Wonka SUPPOSED to be sexy? Nope. He's supposed to be weird. Don't get me wrong, I like Johnny Depp, but Marylin Manson MIGHT fit the role better
yeah, but what i alwatys liked about the jod Wilder did was that he took a utterly creepy character and gave him a lovable effect. i think depp'd be the best person to pull that off again for wonka.
by the way, Stefman, face it: if you stripped away his pretty face, johnny depp would still be one of the best actors out there!
Well Depp doesn't have that utterly creepy sense to him. Wilder did. I still am not sure who I really want in the movie. I know it's already been confirmed, but I still am deciding. I would like for Manson to play the role, but I'd feel sort of regretful if he had it (same with if Depp had it, but not nearly as much).
And just because Johnny has that pretty boy look to him doesn't mean he can't be a great actor, even though that is usually the case
i kind of see where people are coming from when they say that depp will be sexy in the part and that might not necessarily be a good thing. I still think he will be a good will wonka myself just because i think he will be able to pull off the part of being lovable and kinda creepy at the same time. i can really see manson playing the part too though, but has manson ever acted before? i would just worry that he might not have the acting abuility that we already know johnny depp has
