Well, I haven't actually started teaching yet. The first graders arrive for orientation tomorrow. My campus is a boarding school for primary students, but it sends students into the local public foreign language school in grade 7. At least I don't have to work as hard as the Chinese teachers. They work about 12 hours a day. I only work 15 hours a week, not including time for creating lesson plans and participating in foreign teachers activity night on Tuesdays. Then we have to come up with games and songs for the students to do after dinner. This will not be a problem for me though since I attended two camps every summer. I am loaded with songs and games.
We have a saying "We love them.....outside of class." Actually my kids aren't so bad. There are days when all the classes seem to act up, but if you can let it roll off your back you do ok. I look at each school day that's over as one more day closer to Friday. Friday is the night most foreigners go to the local foreign bar and we dance are keisters off. In my case I mean that literally. My jeans are always looser when I leave the bar.
I want to join the discussion. Recently, I was also looking for a job in Toronto and could not find anything for a long time and then I followed this link https://jobssite.ca/ and contacted temp agency. There they helped me quickly find a job. This site has a large number of vacancies for people with different work experience and different education, so you can definitely find a vacancy for this site for yourself.Goodbye
