I'll make mine about Tool.
I love Tool. Maynard James Keenan is very talented, and it shows.
I own two CD's, Aenema, and Lateralus.
I prefer Aenema, some of my favorite songs are Stink Fist, H, Forty Six and 2, Hooker with a Penis, Pushit, and Aenema.
I haven't listened to Lateralus as much as I've listened to Aenema, but Schism is definitely on of my favorite songs.
I know the pieces fit....

No, that just means to those people, lyrics are as important as music.
The fact that instrumentals exist means that lyrics aren't intrinsic to music.

Well if lyrics made a song better or worse, The Mars Volta's songs would have been demeaned by the lyrics.
They're not, so your claim must have been pulled out of thin air.

Thanks.....although I could list aboot a thousand songs I wouldn't think are quite as good without lyrics.......but as you said to each their own.

Sure, but I don't count that because it's a genre more or less based on lyrics.
