I do not understand why there are people that think that if Harry kills Voldemort then he will die. The reason why Voldemort did not die when his curse back fired was because he said he had taken precautions and done certain things where he could not die. Also, Harry still has love for people, such as Hermione, Ron, and Dumbledore, so he will not lack and love or caring. But I think that Neville will play a part in helping Harry defeat Voldemort, but he wont kill him. Also, for some reason I feel that Dumbledore will sacrifice himself to save Harry, in book seven, and that will lead to Voldemort actually diein, or whatever is worst then death.

I also agree with the poeple that feel that Neville will be better in magic this year, he will have more confidence then before. I just dont think he will be in potions because he was very poor in that area and he probably did not get an owl in that.

i feel like either Snape will sacrafice himself for Harry to show that there aren't any hard feelings. Or dumbledore will sac himself in order to give Harry an extension on life so he can fight another day. To me Either 1 is a possibility, but it's gotta be atleast one of them...
i really want to c snapes softer side...i want to see him fight by harry's side to help.save him....

You would think that after all that Snape has went through that he would realize that there are more important things then keeping a school boys grudge. I hope that sooner or later he drops the grudge and judges Harry, not Harry's dad.

Snape obiously didn't have a very good childhood from his memories though, but it seems like there must be someone in there who can forgive and forget and be nice, even if he is already on the good side. I think that Snape and his grudges and such will be very important in the future though.
Reading the prophecy it makes me wonder if voldemort and Harry are completely immortal if they team up together. because harry has to kill voldermort, or voldemort has to kill harry. so if neither kill each other, then they can not be killed until another prophecy comes along. so does that also mean that only voldemort could kill harry. maybe harry is untouchable, so the death eaters can not kill him. just a thought.

possible! i c where ur coming from....y does the prophecy say that only harry can kill voldemort and vica verca...unless it does mean that either are immortal while the other is alive.

Immortal? Ok...they can both die of old age so how are they immortal? maybe you guys are looking for the word UNSTOPPABLE or UNBEATABLE...sry to get so technical
dis would be weird.... if voldemort posses draco and draxo is being friends to stop voldemort... but when they get to voldemort he tells draxco to turn on harry and he does cause hes possesed.. and nevile is also there and nevile kille draco and harry kills voldemort

I really like that JK used something like a prophecy because it has made her books that much deeper. Now there are so many things that people have to think about. And it also makes you think if Harry can be killed like everyone else. Is he vulnerable to the unforgivable curses like everyone else. We already know that he is very hard to control by the Imperius Curse, GoF, and he might not be able to be killed by Avada Kedavra, SS. He is vulnerable to Crucio, but that may not be able to kill him but only really hurt him. So how deep does the prophecy, the protection form his mother, and the charm from Dumbledore go. Only Books 6 and 7 will show but it gives you a lot of things to thing about while you wait.

i know! i ate thinking and waiting...my brain is doing over time!it's annoying caus theres so many angles, and the answer could be any one of them, it's just impossible to work out which!

yes neville will be an important person in future books but sooo will luna and tonx cuz jk got them in book 5 means they are important and they both havent done their parts yet
