I just saw the film "Lost in Translation" directed by Sofia Coppola and I must say...I enjoyed it. It stars Bill Murray, who I think is a very underated actor, and a young actress named Scarlett Johansson (and I will add that this girl is very attractive). Basically, these two meet at a hotel in Tokyo Japan and they are both searching for a certain something, a something that neither their husband or wife could provide. They eat out, party, and talk to eachother throughout the week and begin to grow a fondness for eachother - still repsecting each others marriage vows. At times, the movie drags a little, but the scenery in Japan is awesome and the chemistry between these two seems so real. Scarlett Johansson seems so natural, and Bill Murray can make you emotional or happy in an instant. This is low budget film and you definitely get that feel, but It fits the material so well. I am a sucker for relationship type dramas, so I hope I am not being bias, but you all need to check this one out. Without saying anything about the ending, I will tell you this, I couldn't help but get choked up. I give it a 8 out of 10. By the way, Scarlett is beautiful.
I absolutely loved Lost In Translation! I've loved Scarlett Johansson since The Horse Whisperer, and this is most definitely Bill Murrays best performance. It was a low budget film, but I have to totally disagree with you when you say it feels low budget. Sophia actually used film as opposed to cheaper digital video, and the movie was made to look and feel claustrophobic. The shots of Tokyo are amazing, the cinematography, acting and dialogue trully make this movie one of the years best!
wow sounds like I need to watch this movie,I have always thought since I seen him in ed wood that he is way underated he did such a good job,Ive been a fan of his ever since!
..looks like stalking the(please log in to view the image) has many benifits 'cause now I have a new movie to go watch..thanks
Bill murray isnt underated. No one denies he is a good actor. He's a common household name. Most people know and like Bill murray. Just not the movies he makes. He's made a couple bad career choices that have taken him out of the lime light. He's always been praised for his performances though. He just has a tendancy to dissapear after a great movie. He's deffaintly not a maintstream actor. Which i like about him

He is underrated as a dramatic actor. Not as a comedic actor. Everyone knows he's funny, which can be worse on a dramatic career than anything. People seem to think that funny actors can't do drama, but often times they can.
About Lost in Translation, I totally want to see it. Its gotten amazing rebiews from fans and critics, and just looks good anyway.
