I saw no one touched on this movie. I know many people probably wont see it, but i thought such a groundbreaking movie that inspired, and gave new standards in sci/fi movies deserved a quick review.
Well if your not a fan, but love sci/fi movies or even a good scary movie. Then you should deffaintly check this movie out. It is a classic that should become a new classic to some new blood to the franchise.
If you are a fan you should deffaintly search your couch for some change and get a ticket for this movie before it leaves your theater. Especially if you are like me and never had the oppertunity to see this masterpiece on the big screen. If your planning to see this for the additional footage, be warned there is little to no new footage. The movie was presented in the editing process the director approved, before the studio got a hold of it. The directors cut is really no different at all from the final product. The only additional footage was near the very end after ripley set the self destruct sequaence on the ship, she came across a room where the alien had been turning parts of the ship into it's own atmosphere habitat. in the alien wall she finds two of her crew mates alive and cacooned , where she decides to put them out of there misery. It's deffaintly worth seeing to see the alien up on the silver screen, but not for new footage.

yeah that really sucks. It's deffaintly worth a look. I believe also it's only playing on some 300 screens in america. I was pissed though,My fiance lives in England and there Releasing ALIENS, and ressurection together. I Was so pissed when i heard that. However she did get me the aliens re-release movie poster so im not as pissed, but id still rather see ALIENS than Alien. i was still happy to get to see alien though

Gender: Male Location: Sailing the seas of cheese.
It was great the second time around, being that it was the first horror movie I ever saw with my dad and now I can see it twenty years later. I love this flick, what the hell?

I couldn't agree with you more. Except for HULK of course. And X2. Okay and Reloaded. I haven't seen Revolutions yet, but I read all the spoilers in the Matrix Forum so I basically know what happens better than the average person who saw it since the braniacs in the Matrix forum dissect everything to the point where it is impossible to not understand it. I love that. God bless them, if there is a god.
