Not enough action in the matrix, too much focus on the zion fight, which to be honest i wasnt too impressed with.

The Zion scene had a lot of action. Lots of ppl were disappointed cos its almost the entire movie outside the Matrix. That was not the case with me. Some action was over done with Reloaded, it didnt happen here. Just badly done (Neo vs Smith scene).

Actually, I said it was obvious that the good guys were not going to be annihilated. And that WAS obvious.

Your opinions which I do not share about the Star Wars films aside, even in the original Star Wars films, what about the battle of Hoth? Good guys got the shite kicked out of them in THAT, which no-one expected.

I feel my point is made. The battle for Zion was good, but there was nothing UNIQUE about it- just another sci-fi fight, albeit a good one. Nothing original, certainly not the seemingly hopeless position of the good guys. The Matrix fights, like lightsabre duels, were unique.

That's not a BAD thing. But the reason I liked the first two in particular is because they were so distinctive in their style- vis a vis the fights and stuff in the Matrix, and slight intellecutal edge. The distinctive things were less present in this film. So as I say, it stands out less.

But that is partly because they had to wrap the storyline up. Most wraps have a problem there. Still, I was happy with the ending also. Did you agree with what you saw me say about the ending in the Matrix area, BF?

Yes Ush, now that I've seen the movie for myself, I completely agree with you, wrapping up all loose ends and completely answering all questions would have been a flaw in this series, since a trademark for the series is leaving enough of it open for the viewer to finish with their imagination.

I dunno, i just didnt like the zion fight at all, It was long, overbaked, the human-shooter probes resembled gi-joe cartoons at times, and the whole idea of taking on zillions of squiddies just didnt really seem to do it for me. Plus whats with the fact that emp's are only present on ships. And since when did their ships have guns? (in the original, the only weapon was the emp).

Sorry I haven't been responding ppl, weekend hiatus (and for the ppl who don't like me, you obviously didn't miss me). First off, leem reply to a comment by Kes (waaaaay back) Yeah, I suppose that the in-air fight was rather cartoonish, but it was still a GREAT visual. I believe that the constant rain was the best element of that entire sequence (which doesn't say much for Neo and Agent smith....).

I agree completely w/ BF's review. Therefore, I lower my original rating from 9/10 to 7/10 (amazing how BF can change ppl's minds, isn't it?).

That's about it, I suppose

Doesn’t the zion fight remind anyone of the alien movie (I think I was the 3rd) most of the time I was remembering the mechs From aliens. But anyway I didn’t like this movie at all or the last one. It had lots of the same action and I realized why they don’t have more flying fight seens in movies because it looks so stupid and another thing that was old and crappie about this movie was Smith the faces he made at the end where so stupid. Oohhhh and neos stupid line “because I choose to” was probable the stupidest line ever in any movie.

I liked it but I was disappointed.

The Zion siege, while obviously necessary was too drawn out and became boring after about 10 minutes. It seemed they had one similar shot after another with the "general" screaming every 2-3 minutes in between.

The "Super Brawl" (?) was too short and wasn't even close to being on par with the Burly Brawl in 'Reloaded'. I said to myself "that's it?" when it was over. Hence my quotations around so-called Super Brawl.

Those were my two main gripes. Minor gripes include a seemingly anti-climactic ending and not enough explanations and some wasted characters in the third film, like Merv and Morphie and even to some extent Neo.

I still liked the movie but it was a good action flick but didn't seem worthy of a Matrix film, especially one that was meant to wrap up Neo's story.

I think the Zion fight reminds me more of EXOSQUAD than aliens. the machines looked like an exact replica of one of the exosquad ships. However i fear no one knows what im talking about when i say exosquad. Thats a shame to. This was the best cartoon ever.

I didnt want everything answered. Just that Mero and Persephone are so important in Reloaded and are useless (sort off, well Persephone is) in Revolutions.
I mean why did she want a kiss from Neo? The way they made Revolutions makes some scenes from Reloaded pretty stupid messed

I love Star wars (old eps) but nothing in those movies surprised me.

Booring! Tired. I wanted to leave the entire movie. Some effects were good however, but over all I thought is was just a money grabber.

4/10
