Okay, I know this movie is 7 years old, but I just saw it for the first time the other day.
I loved this movie. It was scary and yet it made fun of scary movies at the same time (in fact the original title of the movie was Scary Movie).
It was a seamless balance between horror and comedy, using both at the exact right moments.
It was cool how Matthew Lillard manged to be hilarious even as he was threatening to kill Sydney, and even while he was dying. The twists were brilliant, the premise genius, the dialogue witty, and many other things. 10/10
A side note: It would have been great if Gale Weathers found Kenny's body and said:"Oh my god he killed Kenny!" and then Dewey came up behind and said "That bastard!"
Just a thought

Have to agree with you on that one Mr Rulz, I am a classic guy myself with the old skool horros like Psycho, The Hills have Eyes, and of course the slasher films such as Friday 13ths & Nightmare on Elm Streets.
Although I must admit I did quite enjoy the different approach technique to the new horror films of the 90's, only thing that spoiled it was the fact that it WAS the usual dumb teen routine, I would give it an overall rating of 7/10.
Discos - Spoiled it more with making a 2 & 3 though
