And about what you're asking in your sig, those are called "avatars" and you can upload them by:
1. Click "profile". It should be at the top next to "pm inbox" and "members"
2. Click "edit options"
3. At the very bottom, it says "change avatar", click that
4. Click "yes" if you want to upload your own avatar, but click "no" if you want to choose from those available.
5. Then click "Submit Modifications"
6. You're done.

I don't think he was a "doc" either, but since he really did lots of things in the comics that could have required lots of studies, it's safe to say that he could be a doctor.
And in the movie, he's speaking/debating with a smart-ass doctor, so it would be fairly cool if he's also one.
Well that was a surprise. I jus saw X2 the other day for the first time, great movie !! Good to see that for once the cast look like they are enjoying their parts. (for movies in general)
