I have read all the Weis/Hickman ones, Lord of the Rose, the Linsha Trilogy, some just by Weis, Richard A Knaak, Tanis: the Shadow Years, Chosen of the Gods, etc., etc. Very creative series.

The Legend Of Huma by Richard A. Knaak is good, as well as The Wizards Conclave by Douglas Niles. I like the latter because it has so much magic

Ya legend of Huma is a good one, though that series isnt all that great, with Kaz the Minotaur and Weasel's Luck and such. But the first one is great.

Legends are great, though as I said on Page 5, I quickly get tired of Caramon.

have to say, i couldn't Ever compare LOTR with dragonlace.
sorta apples and oranges y'know?
dragonlace is so awesome in it's own right. the characters, and especially the philosophies...balance of good and evil and all of that.
amazing. every significant character and some not so significant, all get to develop on their own, which is something that one sadly does not see in LOTR.

I disagree actually. I am quite the fan of LOTR as I am of Dragonlance. Infact I have my own LOTR forum if you ever want to check it out. I beleive that LOTR does have alot of meaningful allusions to real life, ESPECIALLY in how he develops characters.
