Heh. Yeah... but you know what I mean. Although Scott and Logan didn't get along well at times in the cartoons and comics, they didn't hate each others' guts like they did in the movies. >_> 'tis what I was trying to say , though their hatred for each other in the movies (or so it seemed) did provide some funny moments...
Wolverine: Hey hey. It's me.
Cyclops: Prove it.
Wolverine: You're a dick.
Cyclops: Okay.
[SPOILER - highlight to read]:Post-Civil War
Scott, along with Emma, Colossus, Wolverine, Beast, Shadowcat, Hisako, Ord, and Danger, were taken to deep space by S.W.O.R.D. and Agent Brand. The psychics on the S.W.O.R.D. ship did not detect Cassandra Nova in Emma's shattered psyche, effectively proving Emma's loyalty to the X-Men by her refusal to allow Nova into Hisako. Though emotionally wounded, Emma recovered fast enough to be present for the team's departure to the Breakworld. Separated, Emma, Scott, Beast, and Agent Brand discovered the temple of Attur-Hei ("The Palace of the Corpse.") Joined by teammates Wolverine and Hisako (now titled "Armor"), Emma conceded to Agent Brand's plan of separation. She and Scott left Attur-Hei on a single S.W.O.R.D. armed jet to rendezvous with the rest of the S.W.O.R.D. operatives on the Breakworld.
While flying, several Breakworld fighter jets approached, attempting to knock Emma and Scott out of the air. The couple successfully repelled the Breakworld onslaught, exchanging heated words in the process. Amidst Emma's protestations that Scott was "acting as though [he knew] what [she's] been through," he finally professed his true love for Emma. Stunned, Emma could barely speak, except to utter an apology. Before her reasons behind apologizing were discussed, Scott noticed a blip on their radar. Danger appeared, utterly decimating the S.W.O.R.D. cruiser. Switching to diamond form in the nick of time, Emma was spared, however Scott was injured. Cradling Scott in her arms, Emma shed a tear for the man who truly loves her.
World War Hulk
Cyclops is listed at IGN.com as a target on Hulk's hit list of characters.
X-Men: Messiah Complex
Cyclops will play a crucial role in the upcoming X-Men: Messiah Complex crossover. It is suspected amoung fans that he is the Messiah for the Mutant Race, particularly since preview information has stated that he will unite the X-Men in a way that they haven't been united for years.
I think partly because the movies treated him like crap, partly because the writers of the comics have decided to finally STOP treating him like crap and started adding him depth, and partly out of respect for his having been the number 1 X-Men for about 60 years now, this dude is starting to develop a bit of a cult following. He has long, involved threads on every message board now. It's nice to see. Move over Wolvie. YOu're cool, but you've had your time and then some.
he says something like "get back everyone, i'm going to full power" and he hits hulk with this blast right, his visor is still on, and it seems to have f*ck all effect on hulk...
a full power blast knocked back onslaught, and we're supposed to believe it wouldnt do the same to someone like hulk...
* i see two ridiculous things there... one, how did the arc portray Hulk? is he someone more powerful than Onslaught or Juggernaut (with Cyttorak gem)? if so, well then maybe... two, why did those stupid writers made Scott say "full power" if he did not really go "full power"?
* in my opinion, Cyke's full power blast is still unmeasurable by comic (canon) implication, but a fraction of that full power blast was manifested when he cracked Onslaught's armor, and take note: he removed his visor... another one is when he blasted a Sentinel and decimated a large part of the forest... releasing an unlimited amount of energy that is feeding the Phoenix force's unlimited hunger... powers up Bishop, and was measured at nearly two gigawatts which is equivalent to the output of a large nuclear reactor...
* he beat blackbolt, presumably while blackbolt was letting loose a reality tearing scream...
* yeah, you're right, so far there hasn't been an acual limit to his power shown...
* i made that myself... son of a...
* colossus is a brawler, the best hulk fights are the brawls... maybe colossus will do ok, but im not holding my breath...
* apparently not... the marvel preview has the tagline: "The end is near. The situation is dire. The outlook is bleak. But Cyclops has a plan. Part 5 (of 6)"
A full powered optic blast should send the Hulk flying back hundreds of feet. Whether it hurts him or not depends on his durability of course, but his weight is not infinite.
