Help!

Help me! Help me!
My computer has gone crazy! I got home, turned on the computer/monitor and the entire screen is messed up. There are these 'line shadows' everywhere, the color is horrible, it's blury and there is a 2 inch dead space on either side of the screen. It's horrible! I've tried doing everyting in the Display Properties and messing with the monitor settings. My contrast and is all the way up at 100% and the monitor is still really dark! This is horrible! Help me someone! My stupid brother is always playing these stupid games that freeze the computer! Do you think that could of caused it? There is no virus, I checked.
