Go to a Library and you will see O'Brian novels classed as Adventure. LOTR is classed as Fantasy.

Having adventure IN a movie does not make it an Adventure movie; LOTR is not one; M&C definitely is.

Take note; Adventure MOVIE.
Having the book from where a movie was based on classed as adventure doesn't automatically make the movie an Adventure Movie.

mac was very good though! im really glad that they didnt put any mutiny in the storyline, it feels like every movie that involves a ship has mutiny in it! but the ending sequence with the little kid killing the frenchies was cool!

Why not, they are both done on the same logic.

Thius IS an Adventure film, LOTR is not, it is Fantasy.

I did feel that that actor who killed himself in the movie was looked pretty young to be 30

M&C was very good, very graphic. You really felt like you were at sea in a crowded ship. The battle scenes were beautifully shot. Loved the way they filmed the arm cutting scene.
Overall the story was good, the acting was good (the actor that plays the Doctor is quite good, so were the kids) and it was very well shot.
Didnt like 1 thing, when they are near the coast of Brazil and the Doctor was talking to a local that spoke with an interesting spanish accent blink

hmm yea that's pretty weird, since brazil is portugese, aah well the rest of south america speaks spanish no?

so maybe he picked it up there somewhere
