Just went to see this on Saturday, it was a nice story but I could say it should have been out a week later so everyone WAS in more of a christmas spirit. Some parts were occasionally funny and the reviews are correct that it was a bit of a sad/happy story.
Due to it being a Childrens film I didn't get much peace to watch the movie, what with the kids immiture noises and comments.
Will Ferrel did a great part with this character and brought alot of christmas spirit to the City of New York, there was some parts which were unrealistic... [SPOILER - highlight to read]: santa has been spotted in Central Park and they have secured the park and still they are uncertain what is going on.... erm can you just go in and take a look please. I doubt a news crew would appear in a city park if they heard that santa crash landed there....
Discos - Overall Rating 7/10

how was it sad? I thought it was good movie. It was a holiday movie that diddnt rely on the love for christmas to make it a good movie. Instead it relied on the original concept and humor to carry it along. It's one of those good christmas movies. I thought it also had a nice message at the end of the movie.

It was sad that his father was a neglative sort of dad for a while.
Anyways I thought seeing the Santa Clause 2 last christmas was more in the christmas spirit, no idea what I am on about as most times I don't

santa clause2? i dont know i couldnt stand that movie. I loved the original, but the sequal seemed like a way just to bank off the popularity of the first. I diddnt get any kind of christmas spirit from the sequal. Thats just me though
