Well.. i guess it works like .. eyes or hairs, you can get your father's hair color, or your mother's.. same thing for mutant genes, males carry it... ahhhhh i donno lol stop messing with my mind Fragile! lol
dark has a really good point. but it makes me wonder about like rogue for example, her kids (if possible for her to have any) would they be able to have somethign like her powers? and will bobby's kids have ice like powers, or temp powers? idk, j/w.
If you did a punnett square which can display the chances of a phenotype (physical trait) and genotype (a non-physical thing), you'd be able to tell. I could tell you but I think I setup my punnett square wrong.
And Rogue could have a baby, via in vitro fertilization.

yeah she had a son with Mag and he could transform people into metal when he touch them... which is kinna of mix between the two powers.. But i think it changes when the two parents are mutants, when it happens the kid seem to have a new power, mixing both of it's parents.
I am only a little smarter than most people. I think some people would find my intellect trivial. Besides I can't be that smart, I am only 16.
I am still having problems with that freakin' punnett square. So I'll just post the results of the varying forms of they're genes. I think they're genes might be heterozygous. Meaning that they have the dominant gene for mutation and a recessive gene for normal human.
If that's true if Rogue and Iceman had four children,. One child would fully inherit Rogue's power. One would fully inherit Iceman's power. And the other two would have spontaneous forms of Rogues and Iceman's power. I am not sure...and I am taking this way to seriously.

I am not sure. I think it's because if it were recessive, then relatively few people would have it. If you noticed in the movie, Cerebro had a lock on quite a few mutants.

yeah, i was wondering about that. and another thing i noticed about my dvd is that they are diffrent from my friends X2 dvd. I have Woverine on disc 1 and Lady Deathstrike on disc 2. She has Wolverine on disc 1 (but a diffrent pose) and Rogue on disc 2.
Continuity problem with the movie-to-comics...
John (Pyro) Says that the males carry the mutant gene. Yet, if I remember correctly, Nightcrawler is Mystique's son in the comics. Bit of contradiction there, eh?
