The One and Only

not quite a mutant
not quite a vampire
but yet an immortal
never the less, unusual
so rare is the birth of a day walker
sharing the bloodline of the father
to have the deep desire to drink the crimson liquid of life
to sustain immortality
climbing and griping surfaces
as if the laws of physics no longer matter
a given ability to transform into a vampiric monster
but, this day walker is shaped from the mother more so
other than the extreme shades of blue tinting the irises and forelocks
having acquired the talent to see others' memories
the offspring will carry her words forever upon his heart
she taught him much about the value of mortal life
to respect and have faith in it
to be brought up like a mortal in some strange way
had impact upon the day walker's life
just so, that he'll see to it
as an oath to himself, never to take a human life
convert to drinking the life out of creatures of the earth instead
having such values held so closely to his heart
and lessons learned secretly
the day walker will never become what his father is...or was...
always was there the constant reminder
that thy father a brutal and callous monster
not just from what he heard from commoners
loads of horrific evidence before his eyes
of mangled bodies with shredded hope, life, and form
forced to stand by and watch the slaughter go on
father believing it was for his own good and benefit
the child soon grew to find this all revolting
but, just to please the father, he faked his feastings
deeply sickened to see what he had to learn from
desiring a way out of a life he had no desire to take
a road that will mean an eternity of hell
if he ever were to be vanquished by a hunter
than again, so ironic
dear mother sends him to be tended by one
a vampire hunter that she dearly loves
although father does not know of this affair
who has ever heard of a mortal raising a blood drinker?
seems so odd an uneasy around so many being of the living
very vital to learn to control the desires
the desires to lash out and appease them
the hunter is kind and understanding
he does not judge this one lone day walker
so the respect, nearly, falls into place
the mortal man teaches him a life of peace, hiding, and justice
the life of a wanderer seems nice and inviting
excess energy devoted to doing common good for mankind
finally, a contribution to redeem for the horrid fate of his kind!
adjusting reflexes upon the mind's command
to strike out those who bring death upon the living
the justice goes as far as exterminating his own kind, the immortals
no longer will the day walker stand for this
time to take this stand against his own kind
just fine with him
about time that they became the hunted instead of the innocent
new values brought in new respect towards the teacher
within’ the dark eyes, a father figure is forged to the hunter
the day walker will remain by the hunter’s side
to lend aide and follow his new path
the one that his mother has always wanted him to set out on
sadly, the dear had died for her cause
out of love for the hunter and her young son
the latter will miss his mother dearly
also, regretting never getting the chance to say one last goodbye
although so little and incomprehensible at the time
forever he will carry that pain
only able to make a journey to a familiar field of death
kneel before a carved stones
last bit of evidence, of his mother’s existence
down upon his knees to pray
to vow revenge upon all immortals
including the father of his true in heritage
to have so much to happen in so little time of his everlasting life
causes so much drama upon the mind
he will avenge her death by giving the horrid man of parentage hell for it
the day walker will helm his anguish
being very patient until the day he’s ready to unleash it all
upon the man he hates so much
with nothing to do for now but grieve
follows in tow of the hunter on many journeys across the world
to later on, take up with an religious organization
one eager to hire such strange, extraordinary men such as them
how odd that these men worship god,
yet they have enough weapons to bring down an army of monsters
oh what fun to play with the toys dished out to them!
yet their missions make them seem like outlaws to the outside world
as long as their accomplishing something for the better good
the day walker takes this all in with inhuman patience
time came to pass
when he became separated from the mentor
sent on different missions scattered widely across the world
having no clue as to what the other was up to
by the time the young vampire returned to the temporary home of Rome
no sign of the hunter
but, yet, there is news that he has vanquished the infamous vampire lord
the day walker is mad at himself for not sensing the death sentence of his father
oh, how he wished he could’ve been there!
to have been the one to extinguish the last whiff and ounce of life from that body
to damn it to hell and bit of flames
watch his father die and become the corpse he was meant to be
ashes pouring over the machinery like sand in the wind
how this day walker’s heart would’ve soured high
to have the weight of his mother’s death and grief uplifted
than again, he was one of the damned
so he was denied the last wish
his vow and final hope forever shattered from view
all the way into obscurity
thinking back on all that has been told by word of mouth
at least somebody ride the world of the horrid dark lord
somebody he respected and that this one could stand to see again
to give eternal thanks to avenge such a tortured family
in the mean time, the day walker will tell this tale of his family in the near future
so all will know, young and old, mortal and immortal,
that the undead suffer such living tortures and facts of life too
no one remotely living does not go without pain stabbing and nagging at their beings
on a higher note, to know the true story of a infamous vampire lord,
his father, Dracula, and the vampire hunter, Gabriel Van Helsing
also, to never be forgotten, his mother, Illyria
the birth of a day walker is possible amongst a midst of vampires alone
one must have a pure heart and faith for all that is right in the world

Everlasting Light of My Life

their passion is like fire
warmth spreading throughout the soul
to have such love felt between the rose and her summer
is like watching the flora bloom and blossom
the sun gives her approval by keeping the weather fair
the lovers' carresses and gentle words
intoxicating to the senses like a warm bathe
no sunsets overbearing their minds
the two will always hear the lovely melody of the morning
the gentle sound of music and eternity...love

So Little Time For So Few Words

so many pages for words
yet none of them are the main attraction
for no one seems to take heed
not all that is said must have a fine point
but the painted image should be the basic idea
the quick flash across the plains of thought
some clouds of doubt seem to allude the mind
making it hard to find the light of inspiration
the cool water cannot be molded
no matter how hard the writer must struggle
to craft something so wild and free
what a feudal struggle with mind to reflex
so many distractions causing traffic to the current
damage to the shores that are boundries
not having the strength or will to go on
if not that, then leaving the idea to burn
left to florish another day
while the other muse is more intriguing
always there will be a continous flow of anew
to wait their turn to be seen by the world's watchful eye
so little time of the seasons and feelings
not all will get a chance to be planted and grow forth
some even shatter upon reflection
so hard to return to the old way of thinking
at times, making the new look jaded
both earn their fare shares of wear and tear
so many stories to be told
will they ever end?
with so many distractions blockading all passageways
who can truly manage such mayhem?
why should a writer be so heavly cursed with such doubt and wonder?
the desire to find a mediem and go with it
to feel free again and accomplished
with the young and restless
of a fantasy that doesn't exist on the presented plans
the world urging one on to get and feel expired
to bring the mind back to the clouds
and away from the underworld of confusion
