no there were some community of Irish munks on Iceland.
Scandinavia is actually the Scandinavian penninsula which is mad up of Norway and Sweden . So Denmark is technically not part of Scandinavia. They are accepted as Scandinavian though because of their close relations with Norway and Sweden and that their language is very similare to Norwegian and Swedish

Its an insult alright, Norway gives out the nobels peace prize and are very involved in the peace negotiation in the middle east.
Sweden is a neutral country and have always been a driving force with in the UN
