you seem to be a litle rusty on the info side.
Guys like Malmsteen, Marcello, John Norum and Vai, put in Ronny Le Tekrø from TNT as well, are what they call mastrubating gitarists. The reason is they let their hand fly very fast up and down the neck of the gituar. A cetain way of playing that Malmsteen realy developed and others copied. Well Blakcmore and Van Halen had done some kind of stuff like that earlier on, but Malmsteen used it as a kind of trademark as his own personal style. Cool stuff but in a limited package
Another good guitarist is Steve Howe ( Yes, Asia, GTR)
Well I've been playing since I was 2. I started with a plastic guitar from Woolworths, then up graded to a plastic guitar with nylon strings. Then came along the YAMAHA Pacifica.......
