I hear you about not having a place to keep them........I kept mine in their cases untill I had too many to do so practically.
I now keep them in CD binders. I have two very nice CD binders made by the CD project company. Each holds 208 cds/dvds...........and the binder itself is leather. They have soft cottony backs to the sleeves so your dvds don't get scratched up. I think they were like $25 a piece.
I have to go get another binder soon. I'm running out of room. I only have 416 cd/dvd sleeves and with a good amount of my dvds being 2 disc special editions, I'm running out of room very quickly.
Actually we have alot less money for this very reason........Ofcourse I have enough money for all of my bills, house payment, car payments, food, gas, etc.........I usually have very little money per pay period to just go out and blow......most of my free spending money goes into dvds which makes me feel kind of poor. To make things worse......my wife spends just about as much money on books as I do on dvds.

I don't have much at all since I sold my collection to pay my taxes. Sad story. I just bought Two Towers Extended, however. That makes up for it all. I want to buy the Hulk too. Best movie.

I don't know about The Two Towers movies. I know that the extended version was being sold for $70 where I work and there is no way I would pay that much for a movie.
