I found the book where I have all this info.... but instead of 1-7, it's given as "remarkable", "excellent", "poor",etc etc etc etc

Are you talking about Marvel overpower cardgame stats?
They don't cover all the characters anyhow, you're best off getting someone who knowsthe x-universe well enough to give stats on each character in your gallery using the classification system you have preferred in the beginning of this thread.
