Maybe we should halep them somehow, i don't like punishing them at this stage cause they are already not doing so good, even without panishment. And.. we must be 4 houses, not 3, not 2, but 4.
No, PMing all the judges will be too much to do
This is why there is a challenge thread AND A HOGWARTS CAFE
So all entries are posted here and don't get lost in all the unnecesary conversations that belong in the Hogwarts Cafe.
So can houses just re-post their entries, please?
And if anyone posts any more unnecessary comments or queries in this thread, points will be deducted from their house I'm sorry
Queries and comments belong in the Hogwarts cafe or your own common rooms
"Hello there, I'm Divina Crabbworthy, and you're listening to the Wireless Wizarding Network. That was a new group called 'Warlocks Wand'. Up next we have a special treat. We have an interview with the one and only Rowena Ravenclaw. One of the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
"Well Divina, I have to say that it feels wonderful. I have always dreamt of starting a school for witches and wizards. When we started Hogwarts, we hoped that it would be successful, and that it would unite the wizarding community. It is wonderful that young witches and wizards have the opportunity to learn together, and to actually gain qualifications."
“Yes indeed. I hear that each of the founders has their own house, and they personally select the students that they wish to admit? Is this true?”
“I suppose it is, Godric chooses the bravest students, Helga has the hard-workers, Salazar chooses only pure-bloods, and I admit those who are particularly clever.”
“Right. And can you tell me how you felt when you were starting the school. Any particular worries you had? Any difficulties that you had to overcome?”
“Well, I was a bit worried that the school wouldn’t be successful. I mean it was a huge responsibility, actually teaching magic to others. I suppose the whole time I was nervous and excited, but the others were great. Especially Helga. We became really close. Whenever I had a problem I knew that I could turn to her.
We were lucky I suppose, we didn’t really have any difficulties when we started. We had a great location, and we all got along well together, and agreed on the plans.”
“I notice you say that to begin with you didn’t have any problems”
“Well in the beginning we didn’t. It was later on that the arguments started. It was mainly between Salazar and the rest of us. He didn’t feel that we should let in those of muggle-parentage. He wanted to only admit pure-bloods.”
“You speak of him in the past tense. Does that mean it’s true that Salazar is no longer at the school?”
“I’m afraid so. As I have already said, he preferred to allow only pure-bloods to enter. He didn’t like the fact that we were letting in those with muggle-parentage. Things got worse and worse until he left. But like we pointed out to him. We have to accept those who are muggle-born. If not, the wizarding community will die out.”
“That is so true. So tell me, what about this secret chamber that Salazar claims to have made?”
“Well as to that, there is no evidence. The school has been well and truly searched and nothing has been found. Personally I think it was just Salazar wanting to get people worried.”
“Ok. Now we have some questions that were sent in by our listeners. Abner Combford wishes to know which subjects you would choose if you could have attended Hogwarts when you were young?”
“That’s a hard one, um, I suppose I would have taken Numerology, Divination and um, probably Care of Magical Creatures.”
“Really? Ok, Sandy Salaman wondered if you were an animagus, which animal would you change into, and why?”
“Oooh, that’s an easy one. It would most definitely have to be a Raven, because they are graceful, intelligent and extremely beautiful.”
“Right, and a final question. This one’s from Poppy Hartstring. She wanted to know what is your proudest moment?”
“My proudest moment? Well I have more than one. Is that ok? One was where I first managed to apparate. A second was when Hogwarts finally opened. And I think my proudest was when my daughter, Reyana, recently graduated from Hogwarts, and received 8 ‘outstanding’ at OWL level.”
“I’m sure they were all great moments. Pass on my congratulations to your daughter. Thank you for coming on to speak to us today, and I wish you and Hogwarts all the best. I hope that it continues to be the successful wizarding school that it is today.”
“For anyone who has just tuned in, you are listening to the Wireless Wizarding Network. We have just been speaking to Rowena Ravenclaw. One of the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Tomorrow we will be speaking to Helga Hufflepuff, another of the founders. Up now, is the ‘Moonlight Werewolves’.”

tassie, usually the prefects send thier results to you and me. Like last time, remember?? They sent them to me, then I forward them to you. Do you remember that??
that way, we'll have all the scores from the prefects in one place instead of making it confusing and having gryffindor's scores on this page, then ravenclaws on another page. They will all be organized and in one spot.

Um, I don't understand what you mean Georgina. Even if they never submit an entry, each house would still be able to get a highest score of 25, right?? What's the dividing??

True, but then if one house got the highest number i.e. 25 points then wouldn't the other house have to get 25 as well? Or would they get whatever number and the rest would be left as a remainder?
Um, no . . . . the prefects should score to the system that the Ravenclaws came up with. I'm not sure if this is right, but I belive they had creativity ,etc etc.
Judge, then add up the scores.
If one house got a perfect score of 25, the others wouldn't have to either. maybe that houses story was absolutly flawless and there nothing to take off for.
But the category's that the Ravenclaws have decided, all add up to 25 points total, I'm guessing.
I don't know what remainer you're talking about.
Oh, and RebelPhoe, you'll be happy to know that I FINALLY posted my pic in Hogwars Cafe.

^^ Yeah, that was what I meant. The scoring system Ravenclaw chose was to have 50 points as the total and divide them by the 3 houses. So I asked whether we were still doing that because then we would be dividing it by 2 houses instead
Hmm, I don't know about this dividing 50 by 3 houses. I mean, why can't we have a similar scoring system like the last challenge. They have categories they want to score on:
Etc... and whatever they want. (these are just examples)
Then we could have it out of 25 points. Then you judge the stories, give them the points you think they deserve. If you thought it was somewhat original, you might give them a 3 for originalty.
I think the dividing concept will get confusing. . . I'm already confused. Why divide 50 points by 3?? How are you going to score each story if you do this??
Confused. . .

^^ 'cuase if we use the same system than the l;ast time it would b kinda unfair, bcause look they give us (hufflepuff) 5 extra points (cause we were the first) and if it's 25 points just with 5 points for us would b like waay too much.. so that's why we said 50 points...
Somebody thought of a new scoring system we quite liked,
But it only works properly if all houses submit their entries;
It was like each prefect had 50 points and he could divide them among the three houses
Like,
Gryff 16
Huffy 14
Slyth 20
--------
... which would make the differences a little clearer and see the text as a whole work.
But as Slytherin doesnt seem to post,
I think we should use the old system
The one we had before we decided to use the new 50-system was
