1. One Hufflepuff prefect
2. One Ravenclaw prefect

A Slytherin Prefect ! Yes folks...tis I, your lovely Slytherin Prefect with the new challenge. And as the 1st challenge was a bit easier than this...I suggest that we are given a bit more time to complete this task. Should we set the completion date for 04/30/2004 ? That gives each house a little over a week to complete this task.
"A New HP Song Challenge"
1. Only 1 Song Entry Per House
2. Only 1 Prefect per house will judge
3. Each Judging Prefect will judge only the entries of the 3 other houses, meaning he/she will NOT be allowed to judge the entry from his/her own house.
4. Each entry must use the names of each of the houses ( Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Griffindor, Slytherin )
That sound good.
I do agree that this challenge should be due 4-30, just so that everyone has enough time to be informed on the challenge and get working on it. But because of this, I think that if your house do not make the deadline, that you are deducted 5 points for a late entry.
I would suggest that all Prefects contact the members of there house, telling them about this challenge and inviting them to join you. That way, everyone's working on the challenge.
PLEASE NOTE: Everyone, please remind the people in your house that only Prefects can post in others common's room. This rule has been in affect for awhile and if caught doing so, will cost your house points. Just in case you didn't know, now you do

I'm starting over, do not mistake me for my brother - he has left. Eezy has convinced me to come back, give him some credit.
1. The Song's theme should (of course) be connected to anything Harry Potter.
2. The lyrics of the Song should make sense.
3. The Song must not contain bad language/words/phrases that may offend any members of KMC - personally.
4. The Song should be "at least" 2 stanzas/verses, having "at least" 4 lines per stanza, plus a chorus.
btws, Slytherins, we can kinda bash the other houses, can't we? I mean just for fun
i think that's OK - to bash the other houses, i mean - as long as nobody would let it get "personal" you know... revert to calling each other names directed at a single person like "moron" & giving the finger salute *memories*
anyways, I dont think we should have a deadline yet... most of my sytherin mates have been around for only a few times here. lets take it easy and observe how things are going in all the houses first, finalize things like the voting on the prefects, the guidelines, the scoring system (remember that we havent got one yet) - but most importantly, more time to so that more members will be able to submit an entry - then there's the process of choosing just one entry for each house.

I also suggest that the inter-house challenge to be on a quarterly basis - meaning we will have only 4 challenges a year. the 1st challenge we have just concluded is for the 1st quarter (January to March), this 2nd for the 2nd quarter (April to June).
so we can submit like last week of May, announcement of winners by 1st week of June, then the rest of the month spent for thinking of the 3rd challenge & finalizing rules/guidelines & scoring system. with the announcement of the new challenge at least 2 days before July - how's that?
then we can make it regular every year, the same challenge for every quarter:
1st quarter - The Sig-making Challenge
2nd quarter - The Song Challenge
3rd quarter - (whatever we can come up with like avatar-making, etc.)
4th quarter - (whatever)
but we dont have to stick to it if anyone has a new idea for a challenge that we can accept, we can be flexible. but until we do, we can use the existing ones.
we can also have special contests/challenges in between the quarterly ones - themed according to holidays, like one for summer or back-to-school, 4th of July, thanksgiving, halloween, christmas or new year.
yeah, we'll take it to sometime next week i suppose... but we can still use this time to kinda chill out in the Sorting thread ((instead of the Caffe )) because THAT'S the Inter-house chat or discussion, or whatever in the world you wanna call it, thread
oh and btws ((yes, i'm a lazy idiot who doesn't like to edit her posts )) i dont get the quarterly thing at all, i think things should continue how they're going... umm there's no real need for the order in which the challenges come...
I don't like the quorter thing... I mean if we have to wait for 3 months.. will become verey boring. We can have weekly contest/or bi-weekly ones, and then monthly winners, and in the end of the year we can have an annual context and proclaim annual winner house.. who should be entitled to some privilidges !
