Boromir: the shards of narsil. The blade that cut the ring from sauron's hand (pricks finger) huh! still sharp....but no more than a broken heirloom!

I dont understand. sad

Gandalf says this later in the film, when Saruman tries to "bring down the mountain", when the fellowship is over Caradhras. Then Gandalf shouts: "It's Saruman!!" and Aragorn replies: "He's trying to bring down the mountain!! Gandalf - we must turn back!!"
