In fact there is a lot of crap written without being Rap you know? There are good and bad music in every genders (don't know if is the correct word, sorry, hope you understand what I'm saying). I'm not gonna tell you that all the Hip Hop is good cause it isn't, theres a lot of sh*t in there, but theres also good things... I really like Last Emperor. But all that crap that you ear and see on mtv is only made to sell...and it seems that there is a lot of dumbs to buy it...
I think that if you ear some good hip hop you'll gonna enjoy it... give good Hip Hop a chance! hehehehehe

Rap, even if it is getting annoying, is still okay. It's the mentality people seem to get from rap. That mentality being basically "Black people are better than white people.". Now I'm not saying the artists think this, or that everyone who listens to rap thinks this, but a lot of people i know have this mindset and it is really pissing me off. How long will it take for people to learn that skin colour should NOT affect social status or such. Anyway, thats my 2 cents, Canadian cents that is .
A lot more people have a "white people are better than black people" mentality though...

Your right about one thing though, skin color should not affect social status... but it does. 500 years of history of White People in North America shows that it does. In those 500 years white people on North America have genocide, owned slaves, and operated concentration camps for people on the basis of peoples skin color. That list is mostly Americans, but Canadians took their land from the first nations too. The cards have been stacked against them, white people historically have not played fairly with minorities. Let them have their music without being like "you black people are being racists against me because i'm white."
If you dont like it don't listen to it... go listen to a different station,or better yet dont listen to the radio at all. If you think you can do something better, go out and do it... Its a lot tougher writting lyrics than most people think, go learn how to make your own music...
I write hip-hop rhymes all the time. It's just another form of poetry if it's done right, funny how these fake depressed little goth kids go around saying "rap is crap" when most of the fake depressed shit poetry they write isn't half as good as a good hip-hop song.
