Michael Caine as Alfred Poll
So was it a good or bad idea to cast Michal Caine as Alfred?
I say what ever was wrong with Michael Gough?.....this is where someone tells me he passed away isn't it?

Michael Gough has not passed away, but Batman Begins, as the name suggests is set before the other movies, hence Michael Gough would be to old to play a younger Alfred

Michael Caine's protrayal of Alfred could work, and he might add some humor to an otherwise drab character.
