I just totally do not understand this paradigm of needing to put on a character "like a costume" in order to be able to tolerate intimacy [at least as far as our own little personal desires go, oft' called fanfics... ha.] I think that what you've said is right on the money, that's probably exactly what they're thinking, ["I must become this person to experience him"] but.... huh?
As a 100% straight female I must say penetrating the object of my desires is the LAST thing on my mind. What?! And so when I write, I'm always writing from that POV: that a woman presented with an archetype of masculinity is going to want to be penetrated, not the other way around. Let's face it, most if not all of these Marvel men fanfics get written about are just that: archetypes of masculinity. These are extremely powerful and compelling men. And as I recall [I may be wrong on this] the real meaning of "brutal" is not the modern meaning we attatch to it, but... "non-feminine."
Why would anyone want to mess with a beautiful thing like that? Heh.
That "bus" thing ticks me off. It really does. Kasady is not a g*ddamn bus. If anything, he's an f-14 fighter-plane. Or he's the pilot, and the symbiote is the plane. He's lethal force on two legs. The "Master of Death" is not a frikkin' bus - kicks in the shins to Marvel over this issue.
I have made a decision: I'm shelving Atropos for now and I'll clear my head with this Brock/Patricia thing, and then perhaps go back. As soon as I get my hands on Venom #18 I'll start thinking of exactly how to make this happen.

Yeah, being called a bus is low, taking it is lower, and calling yourself one has got to be the lowest... NOT IN CHARACTOR. Kasady doesn't let sh!t bring him to his knees; he talks big, and this isn't talking big; its a blind verbal stab at defiance from a position of disempowerment... if that's how they're gonna present him then we deserve an explanation of how he got there.

Yet more proof that Great Minds Think Alike. I wish these writers would do some research before they start writing, so they'll know what's credible or not. I guess we're lucky Felicia didn't end up wearing the new symbiote - I would not put it at all past them to pull a stunt like that.
I may do some "editing" with that TPB myself - sounds like a plan. [fume!] If the art were not so great in this I'd be a lot madder than I am. Pretty pictures just totally disarm me, what can I say?
