The Mars Trilogy

Hi, has anyone here read the Mars Trilogy which includes Red Mars, Green Mars and Blue Mars? The author is Kim Stanley Robinson. The books put together make up about 2,000 pages. The trilogy is very intense when u read them cause they go into so much good detail like you are there. I was just wondering what people thought of the books. Any comments would be appreciated.

I've heard of the Mars trilogy but never quite gotten around to reading them could you elaborate on the plot a little more. All i know is that Red mars by: Kim Stanley recieved a nebula award for the book.
