A boob job would be the same way. Sure, it'll hurt like a mother f***er, but once it's done....it'd done.- orig post by linkalicious
Linkalicous, you're wrong about the breast enlargements. I've spoken to people with all sorts of complications... They are a risk. The disruption to the body's integrety cannot be compared to a tattoo. Muscle is cut; muscle is displaced as the implants are set beneath it; fascia can react by tightening to form a hard "shell;" pain can be chronic.
I'm not against breast enlargement but it is important to remember that long-term responses to the surgery can be negative. Most plastic surgeons will tell a client up-front that she should expect to need a replacement surgery in less than ten years. So, the pain is not over... it must be endured again.
As to tattoos- it is a "burning" sensation that builds. Let your artist know when you need a break. Usually, endorphins will begin to soften the pain in 15 minutes. After the tattoo, you will feel just like a tiger! Ready to roar, roam, and live lustily!

Who cares? Its about your own tastes, its about your own body.
Many people wear similar jewelry and clothing- Many fashions are recognized as "classic" and "timeless." Some tattoos, to many people, have the same quality. For thousands of years, I'm sure people have looked at butterflys' wings and the graceful curvings of vines and the petals of flowers and thought: I wish the human body could have the same sublime loveliness. I'm sure these things will always resonate with some people- and if you like something, you should have it, when it hurts no-one.
Don't insist that women's bodies reflect your tastes- it hurts YOU, this mindset, not them.
