To be a rock and not to roll

Been away for a while, here's my response to everything:
1.Avril Lavigne is simply pop. There is nothing punk about her(maybe the clothes)and anybody who likes her or thinks that she is punk should be banished form this thread by an administrator.
2.Simple Plan,Good Charlotte, and NFG are different from Hoobastank. The first 3 are poser bands whose purpose is no different from boy bands in that they are out to make money while trying to use punk clothing to act tough. It's sad.Hoobastank,on the other hand,is mainstream pop rock, which is basically on the same level.

I can't stand Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, NFG or any of those poser bands Everytime I hear any song of theirs, I want to rip my ears off. Hoobastank's the same way. They suck and their songs are played on the radio constantly and it gets so damn annoying.
When I hear the reason on the radio or tv,I reach for a dull knife and I prepare to jam it into my skull because I know that the sweet silence of death will prevent me from ever having to hear that poppie crap. But then I remember that I can just change the channel,so I do that.

The thing is that they aren't trying to be punk--they are really from the folk genre and they just decided to join a band with a punkish structure. They write very good pop songs to a punk structure, but they don't act punk--because they are trying to be a pop act, not a punk act.
