The only music that is real rock is like hmmmmm Hendrix he's cool, the who(sum original shit), ZZTop (if u guys havent heard of them u don't kno wut ur missing), AC/DC, H-I-M, aerosmith, alice cooper!!, bad company, audioslave, bad religion, black sabbath, blindside, a perfect circle, THE CLASH, CLUTCH(listen to the mob goes wild. it's orgasmic i swear), cream, crossfade, danzig, the cure, deep purple, dispatch, earshot, janes addiction(haha i love the song jane says), THE KINKS, zeppelin, marcy's playground(sex and candy), metallica but their old stuff cuz they completely ruined themselves recently, monster magnet they've got sum good shit, mother love bone, motley crue(kinda strange), mud honey, nickelback, my chemical romance, NIN, our lady peace, PAPA ROACH!(i love them), QUIET RIOT, screaming trees, senses fail, sevendust, shinedown, slipknot, smile empty soul, soundgarden, soil, stone sour, STP, SUBLIME, lacuna coil, underoath, the used, van halen. I kno they're in alphabetical order, i'm goin thru my itunes list of shit i've downloaded. seriously, you don't know poser rock until you listen to real rock.

I really don't like this whiny American pop-rock thing either.
Bands like Yellowcard, pretty much anything that's trying SO HARD to be punk that it just smacks of commercialism.

If you truly wanted to be punk, alternative or whatever, you'd wear pink flourescent wellington boots, a green tutu, and underpants on your head. Now that's alternative.
These punk bands that think by wearring (highly fashionable) shirts and ties and blazers is "punk", are a frikkin joke.
The bands that think by having a mosh pit at gigs, singing out of tune and jumping around on stage like a retarded bunny is "punk", are also a frikkin joke.
These bands all seem to be copying Green Day. One pop rock band I actually LOVE (and am not afraid to admit it). Just because they were inspired by Green Day, doesn't mean they should downright copy them, and in a way, dilute the scene they pretty much created.
There's a band I'm sure you all hate, called The Darkness. I saw a very fitting documentary on them, where Justin said that it's more rebellious to put your thumbs up - because every band wants to stick their middle fingers up and say "I hate my mum!". They were very funny and downright truthful. People knock the Darkness for all their worth, as it's yet another "in-thing" to do, but I actually enjoy the joke, enjoy their music, and am glad they are a popular rock band that is nowhere near connected with likes of emo.
