ok...finally got to see this....wowowow, fantastic stuff....i could not be more hyped for this film now....use your imagination to fill in the tons of exclamation marks and smilies that should be in this post....have to go and have a little lie down now, feeling a bit emotional....
while i'm here i might as well add something i was thinking about....someone brought it up about a week ago (wish i could remember who it was, i like to give credit if i can)....they referred to it as "the art of merchandising" or something......it's something that i've been thinking might be the case for a while now myself.....
it's about the fact that lucas may not be doing this out of (direct) greed at all...he's basically engineered a situation (or his team has) where every little scrap of information, picture, video or whatever, is suddenly highly prized and sought after....if someone manages to get hold of the new bth now they feel they have something rare and precious, something exciting and forbidden....if he just put this stuff up on the site for free, i'm sure people's hype levels would be a lot lower.....still interested, but maybe check it next week or whatever, much more of a casual attitude, instead of "grab it quick while you can, ohmygod!!!"....
i'm pretty sure this is the game they are playing....
