What makes Inuyasha so good is that the story is good and you have a good character like Inu. He's not a "goody goddy". He has major flaws. He gets high minded and sometime doesn't want to listen. When he makes mistakes, we want to see how he's going to get out of it.
Plus, look at the episodes. The entire show started off with a simple mission: to collect all of the jewel shards.
Kagome came with Inu cuz she could see them and locate them while Inu could fight and protect her.
Now we've had several characters join in the fight. Shippo, Sango, Miroku have all joined and each have come with there own story to tell. Miroku has a wind tunnel that will eventually kill him, no thanks to Naraku and Sango's family was killed by Naraku.
Then to complicate matters, we have Kikiyo roaming around, popping in every so often. That keeps the show going.
This show is awesome, so don't even get me started.

I noticed the first episode was on last night and I watched it. Pretty good anime so far, but I think the dubbing is a little off in some places, like when Kogome fell down the well, her voice seemed a little too calm for the situation she was in, but it's still good.

shippou's first love. it's so cute. they arrive at this town and meet this girl who was getting beaten up by bullies. shippou saves her and they become friends. she explains how her brotehr went off to war and left her with a jewel shard. shippou's torn inside, because he knows they need the shard. of course, miroku has now found a house to exorcise, but, this time there truly was a demon. the lizard demon goes away and they stay the night. shippou has found out that the girl's brother was killed in the war, but she refuses to think that. so, he decides that he should bring her the jewel shards so she can make a wish, but inuyasha stops him. the next moring, shippou goes to say goodbye, but the girl comes runnign and says her brother's back. shippou goes to meet ehr brother and finds out her 'brother' is actually the lizard demon in disguise, who wants to get the sacred jewel shards. so, shippou helps the girl escape and tries to fight the demon. inuyasha comes to the rescue (of course) and saves them. that's basically it. i hope that's good enough. oh, and the girl's shard was actually a fake.
Shippo's First Love, yeah it was cute. And the mention of quartz was good.

well y was the shard fake? any who i keep missin the first one, ino wut it is about but i still keep missin it! damn! it has been on like 3-4 times since ive been watchin it, but i still miss it! o that gets on my nerves so much!

The shard was never a Shikon Shard from the start. It was just simply a shard of quartz and they believed that it was a shard of the Shikon.
Now if it was a Shard of the Shikon, that whole entire village would be destroyed because of demons and the little girl will be dead.

Sesshoumaru is Inuyasha's older half-brother because Sesshoumaru was born from another she-demon, and then their father fell in love with a human woman, in which created Tetsusaiga to protect. Between the Great Dog Youkai and the Human Woman, came Inuyasha.
