she knew he would do it, but her power wasn't cool enough, so she instead blocked his mind from realizing she'd get out of it, and when she did she'd be even more impotent... yeah, it all works out. and again this derived from a superman vs. aunt may thread

Aunt May was powerful enough to withstand the goddess of amnesia even without her powers man it's hard to imagine how powerful she is sometimes

In the previous life you speak of, Ben was trapped in a tear gas chamber full of balloons and hard-boiled eggs so how could The Beyonder have learned this ability from him?
