I'm pretty sure Luffy went catatonic and bawled his eyes out when Ace died. Hell, ****ing Blackbeard, the big burly seemingly manly man big bad, begs and cries like a ***** when his life is in danger.
It's not just that she's weak. That's only one part of what makes her a sexist character. But it all adds up and gets more aggravating each time.
Though she is supposed to be a gladiator and originally entered the tournament to get the mera mera fruit so she could kill Doflamingo and Diamante. Her acting like this is dumb, and it's only because she's a woman imo. If she was a man she wouldn't be acting like this. Case in point: Cavendish is fighting harder than her over his ****ing horse.
The fact that she is crying and calling for her dad is not the worst part though.
It's that she tried to run from Diamante by dropping down and crawling through the garden. Even Diamante was like "you know this is a pretty pathetic attempt to run away" before he shockingly caught her.
Ussop? More than that, people went on a hate ramp because he acted like a coward. No idea of why fictional characters are stigmatized because they lose their sh_t, not all of them need to be cool and collected
If Rebecca was facing anyone other than the murderer of her own mother, I could see this coward argument being valid. I don't think she'd be nearly as afraid against another opponent, though. Ineffective? Probably, but not overwhelmed with emotion.

Rebecca made a big deal about wanting to fight Doflamingo before and basically told Toy Soldier to go die with his stupid operation. I have no sympathy for someone like Rebecca.
My biggest problem is how badly paced everything is and the way they break down the episodes. With like recaps taking over 5-10 minutes from episodes at times. Recaps of the last episode no less.
