Firstly, I'd just like to say that anyone who thinks Wolverine could beat Superman in a fight is certifiably insane and painfully misinformed. It has nothing to do with bias, as I am not only a Marvel fan who does not favour DC, but also an X-specific fan who in comparison to Superman might as well want to have a civil partnership with Wolverine. In short, or to put simply, personally I think Wolvie is the sh1t and I can't stand Superman...but how I feel about either character is irrelevant, Superman would not even come close to losing a fight to Wolverine, and that is that.
As for adamantium being unbreakable...are we forgetting that Marvel and DC base many of their unique materials and theories on psuedo-sciences and not ACTUAL sciences? Psuedo sciences that often conflict and cancel one another out in some cases? In other words, adamantium may be unbreakable under virtually all laws of opposing force, but it in itself is a psuedo science that can have it's unbreakable qualities rendered obsolete by another psuedo science (such as a scientific theory, the superhuman powers of another individual; neither of which truly answer to usual non-comic book science laws much like adamantium itself).
Kimura, a mutant without epic powers of super strength, was able to break X-23's adamantium claws. It doesn't matter what grade of adamantium X23's claws consisted of; this proves that adamantium can be broken quite easily in in the Marvelverse, if the opposing psuedo sciences allow it.
For anything to be truly unbreakable, it would have to be born of omniscience, and not supposed human science. In other words, an infallible entity such as a god would have to create an item in order for it to be literally unbreakable in any way. However, in the comic book realms where even gods can be harmed, why is it that people find it difficult to realise that adamantium CAN be broken.
It can also otherwise me damaged, by DET (Direct Energy Transfer), or in explanation, it's electrons can be severed upon an atomic level if energy is introduced to a section of adamantium that can not conduct it fast enough, thus creating physical splitting of that matter at point of entry.
Superman could OWN Marvel's similarly powered Gladiator, but do you honestly think that a superpowered alien that can move planets (Gladiator) could not break adamantium? It is so obvious that adamantium can be damaged by plenty of methods, Superman's strength would indeed be one of them.
Also, let's not take terms too literally; characters who are described as "invulnerable" are made plenty vulnerable all of the time. In the same way, adamantium is described as unbreakable, but can be broken.
Let's get real here shall we, and thanks to those with common sense enough to have shared similar views to myself.

Ultimate Hulk is NOT 616 Hulk, Ultimate Wolverine is NOT 616 Wolverine, and Ultimate Adamantium is NOT 616 Adamantium.
Furthermore, the only reason Wolverine was ripped apart in that instance is because, while adamantium covers Ult Wolverine's bones, it does nothing for his joints.
616 Wolverine, on the other hand, has a molecularly bonded skeleton that can NOT be pried apart at the joints. As has been proven no less than three or four times. Either visit the Wolverine respect thread or PM Jinzin for specific information about each instance.
Wolverine's claws are indestructable...he shreds Superman 6-7/10. I mean Wolverine has taken shots from the Hulk and just got up so there's no reason why he can't do the same to sups...what's sups going to do to Logan - doesn't matter how many times Sups punches Wolverine in the brain - Logan will just laugh at him.
No way - he took down Magneto with his indomnable will before. He's threatened Apocalypse and Apoc actually took it seriously cause he knew adamantium can cut anything...
Yeah as I recall Magneto took that will and ripped the adamantium out of his body. Didn't Apocalypse make him his ***** as well? Adamantium can't cut The Juggernaut. Your trolling is failing.
Oh wait your serious What happens if superman throws wolverine into the sun instead of punching him? You know superman once took a beam to the chest from mister fantastic...that beam had no effect on superman at all...and do you know what that beam could do? It could cut through adamantium. Now I am a fan of wolverine, but seriously...superman....wolverine doesn't stand a chance.
