Redstar
Powers: Can build up and unleash devastating amounts of radioactive energy from his body; exhibits great strength, fighting ability, and can take great leaps into the air
Alignment: Hero
Background: Some time ago, Leonid Kovar (aka. Red Star) was part of a military experiment to create the perfect soldier. This experiment suspiciously involved Professor Chang as well. Tests of Red Star on the battle field seemed successful at first, until it was found that there was a volatile and seemingly endless source of energy residing in his body following the experiment. This energy would erupt when the build became too great for him to contain, despite his best efforts. The first explosion completely decimated a Siberian city (presumably his hometown), and he fled and locked himself away since then, to prevent another disaster. The experiment basically turned him into a living, walking nuclear bomb.
When the Titans came to investigate the Siberian area's recent troubles with suspiciously similar attacks, Starfire is separated from the group due to a severe snow storm. Red Star recovers her and takes Starfire back to his hideout, and she soon learns that in order for him to contain his excess radioactive energy, he must discharge it into capsules when the buildup is too much (producing something resembling Xenothium). The Titans later learn of his tragic past, and realize the excess energy he's stored away could be used for good as fuel. They also find that Red Star's storage had a containment leak, and the radioactive run-off caused the creation of a energy-based monster that was causing the more recent attacks. After battle against the monster, Red Star's buildup reached critical mass, and he had to be flown beyond earth's orbit by Starfire in order to unleash the energy without causing anyone harm. His final fate remains to be seen.
Personality: Dutybound and straight-faced, Red Star is by all appearances a dedicated soldier. He also shows much compassion and concern for others, and sacrifices his own needs for the good of others. He is very loyal to his people, and after faced with rejection from his peers along with his own disappointment in himself, decided to lock himself away in hopes to contain his destructive abilities. He sees his loneliness as more than worth it for the alternate cost of bringing harm to others. After prodding and comforting from Starfire, Red Star is ultimately able to face his problems and resolve them in one last sacrifice.]

beast boy was at the mall buying some new games and he saw alex woundering around and mumbuling something and he turned into a bat so he could hear what alex was mumbleing
