That happens here too. At some school in my state there wasnt a male volleyball team so a guy tried out for the womens team, but they told him he couldnt play. Hooray for equality
If there's a team willing to sacrifice it's chance at getting better or maintaining it's level, I'm sure they'd rather be know for having the first female player rather than being winners of the league...
i say if chicks wanna play let em, cuz you must take into consderation that the type that are interested in football arent the soft delicate hetero types anyway
however if they are good lookin, cuz a small handful are i would seize every oppourtunity to cop feels, thus making them feel degraded and useless...forcing them to quit....yeah i said it

Would a womens body structure be able to endure the consistent punishment that is delivered in football? The sport is already dictated by a Cooperate perspective, Introducing women would transform the sport into a sexist fiesta. I doubt that women would be chosen very often. I'm sure sexism would be some part of these hypothetical draft picks, but i'm certain that the decisions would mostly be decided by potential. Women being overlooked would cause so-many problems.

Being a girl that has, occassionally, felt the need to run around all crazy-like in the sport of my choice, I have a few things to say.
Finti is a buttplug. Dude, realise that you're a bigot, and by denying it, and idiot. Rethink what you've said, and get back to me when you decide not to be a walking ANUS. Interesting sidenote: I like to be girly and wear dresses, but I must admit, I am also very interested in kicking ass, as my friend Jason will attest to, for he has the bruises to prove it. Femininity is in the eye of the Beholder.
If girls want to try out for a sport, they should be able to. If they fail, then they weren't good enough. Tough sh*t, move on. Chances are, some of them will be pretty damn good. Also, since when was sports ever about winning? As I understand it, it's about the "love of the game'". At least, that's what every single sports movie I've ever watched since I was little has been trying to shove down my throat.
Personally, I think football sucks. I hate it with a passion that it is probably undeserving of, but that's because of my own prejudices, and I fully realize that. Besides, I'm more of a baseball girl. I like zen bowling, too. I don't know why, but I feel the need to say that golf makes me angry like an irrational monkey, foaming at the mouth. Golf is not a sport, it is an activity for old rich people at country clubs. I will maintain this until the day I die, no matter what anybody says. Again, my own prejudices, but at least I know and admit it.
I've gotten off track... Anyway. I've read almost all the posts in this topic (yes, I'm really that bored), and all I see after the first few are a bunch of boys and girls playing the one-up game, in which everybody whips theirs out (metaphorically speaking, of course) to see whose is the biggest.
As for the strength issue, well I don't freaking care. Now, that may seem harsh and stupid, but allow me to explain myself: If you (male OR female) want to go into a sport that you could end up not coming out of, or coming out of heavily injured, then that's all you. It's your own fault if you end up hurt badly, because nobody made the desicion for you. Plus, when guys know the pain of squeezing something the size of a watermelon out of something the size of a lemon, I'll start to give wieght to the argument of endurance and stamina and pain threshold.
In general: people are much more capable than we often give them credit for. Adrenaline can cause an out of shape mother to lift a car off of her child. Imagine what a girl who works out could do with that same adrenaline rush, or even without it. Also, determination is a factor I think we're forgetting here. I know women more determined and stubborn than the men I in my life.
Oh, and some of you guys seem to be saying that you would take it easy on girls that were on your team. That may be the stupidest thing I've ever read. Although, I have read a lot of George W.'s quotes, so I could be wrong. Patronizing someone isn't the way to get things done. Plus, if your not going all in, then what's the point of going at all?
Anyway, I guess what this whole long freaking rant amounts to is this: We let boys take ballet. Why not let girls play football? Oh, and if ANYONE thinks that the two aren't comparable, then I'd like to see you go through hours and hours of grueling practice until your feet bleed from being worn down to the bone and all the blisters.
In conclusion (Ha, bet you thought that last paragraph was the end, didn't you loser): People suck, and should get a clue. All people. Even me. That is all.

Yes we let guys take Ballet...but they can't be in a performance of the Russian State Ballet if they are not good enough...sae with girls and football...yeah let them...but only if they can put up to it......if a comparable good male player wouldn't make the team the girl shouldn't either
But in general one has to decide what they want...
Equality: Everyone plays in the same league....the best can play...the worse..well not (That'S not really fair for girls but if they want to...sure)
Fairness: Women have their League. Men have their league...they are seperate but equal....
It can only be one or the other...not both....that would be unfair....

For the benefit of my own mental health, I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that.
And, like I said, I'm not saying that if they suck they should get on the team anyway, just because they're girls. That's utterly ridiculous. Just saying that, if you get yourself involved in something you can't handle, or if you do something stupid while knowing the consequences of your actions before hand, well... it's your own dumb fault. In some cases it may be somebody else's dumb fault, but mostly just yours.
Besides, I was mostly being an a**hole for sh*ts and giggles. I did mean what I said though, in my own rambling way.

girls should not be allowed in reality to try out for mens teams, im sorry. for hypothetical argument, yes they should, but in real life, no they should not.
second, dont use the giving birth argument, its probably the stupidest and most overused argument for "pain threshold" ive ever heard of. there's a difference between giving birth (which female body's are MADE to do) and getting your spine broken by a 300 lb man running at full speed with the soul purpose of hurting you as much as possible. im sorry, women CANNOT do this as effectively as men, womens body's are more fragile by far then mens are, its fact.
next, men are stronger then women in general. (most all the time in real life) that is also fact. its biology, men are MADE to be stronger then women. its just the way it is.
now you say that taking it easy on girls is stupid? did you read my post? because i plainly said that I CANNOT EVER BRING MYSELF TO HARM A GIRL. i just cant do it, sport or not. i cant do it, and i never would. and im sure lots of men feel the same way. it might be stupid, but its the truth. men hit a psychological barrier when it comes to things like this, because its true. men (in general) are not inclined to hurt, or try to hurt women. and since this is true it would lead to hesitation in sport. it MIGHT be stupid, but its also fact.
second, ballet and football are not comparable. (insert 300 lb man trying to kill you argument here) they are not the same.
