You want to know the some of the first questions I heard as we left the theatre for HP3.
The most common were
"How did Lupin know how to use the map?"
and
"What is with the Stag Patronus?"
I actually turned around and told them cause I was so annoyed. Grrr...

I agree with shadowbreaker. I think that if DQ will be a movie, it should be done in the next couple of years. Epic fantasies are big right now and this time frame will be best to get support for it. I do not know what future years will bring about movie wise (If I had the Opal I would ^^), so I feel it's best to be soon for the DQ movie.

the other good thing about a DQ movie is that the books arent to long so they wouldn't miss out on to much or have 2 change it to much aswell which is deffinately a plus
Ive thought this out, I don't think it'll be easy to make a dq movie. Why? Directors have three options-
1. To make a movie of each quest, a movie for dq1, 2 and 3. But this is Harry Potter all over again, and the director will miss alot of things from deltora, espeacially the first one, as it is the longest. So no way to this solution.
2. To make a movie of every book. Now, this solution would be better for the anime, and not the movie as the books aren't as big as the Harry Potter books. The director will have to add in bits so it'll fill in the time. Even so, the movie will be about only one hour long.
3. The last solution is that the director makes moives of about three books, So there would be three movies about the first deltora quest, two for the second and two for the third. But sadly, this also has a fault. For me, maybe not for u guys, a title "The forests of silence, Lake of tears, City of the rats coming soon to your screens" Sounds kinda lame. But what else can we do?
Phew, that was long. If u guys have any other Ideas, post it here
Shadowbreadker brings up several good points. I too have been thinking about the 3-3-2 book combo and I think the titles would work out this way:
Deltora movie 1: "The Belt of Deltora" (books 1-3)
Deltora movie 2: "Raise of the Resistance" (books 4-6)
Deltora movie 3: "The Seven Tribes" (books 7-8 and with an epic battle towards the end to lengthen it up like the anime did.)
Deltora movie 4: "The Shadowlands" (all 3 books of the Deltora Shadowlands series)
Deltora movie 5: "Dragons of Deltora" (books 1-2 of the third series)
Deltora movie 6: "Dragon's Night" (books 3-4 of the third series)

Sorry I've been gone, there is just way too much drama going on with every thing certin people wont let certin things go and new things are coming up along with performances with my school and my band and I was kidnapped by a troop of lawn gnomes who used Chinese torture on me....so how've you all been? this discussion seems to be coming along too fast for me to keep up.
Well, considering from the looks of it they are making a DragonBall movie (I'm not joking, its coming out 2008) I reckon the nice directors and scriptwriters and all those other movie-makers can pull up their trousers and make a Deltora Quest Saga! I mean Ardith's idea isn't bad and a six movie long saga is fairly reasonable... I mean look at Star Wars... that's 6 Movies...

Yes, I think that the saga would be best considering that there are 15 books (in the cannon series) and they are too short for each to be a movie and 15 movies is too outrageous. Six is a decent number, because the Star Wars saga was six movies and Harry Potter will be seven.
Is the Dragonball movie going to be an anime movie (I think there is like 12 already) or live action? If it is the latter, I will do face-palms until my head hurts.
Well according to rumour Harry Potter will be 8 movies long (since there is too much important stuff in Deathly Hallows to be just be one movie).
And yes, the DragonBall movie appears to be live-action... as sad as it is...and the 15 August 2008 is the US release date, so far I haven't seen any screen shots, which I'm only looking for so I can get efficient evidence that if they can pull of DragonBall Live Action, they can pull off an Avatar the Last Airbender Live Action - something I wouldn't mind seeing... cause the day they can pull off a live Action Dragonball movie without hundreds of fans screaming murder at whoever made the movie is the day they can't hide behind the 'we can't do it' thing.
Personally, if and when it does come out... I'll see it for a laugh. cause as shocking as it may be... I was a devoted follower during the DragonBall Z and GT Sagas. (Hides under bed)

I have no idea what u guys r talking about- Ive neever seen dragonball. Isnt it something about super sane?
I think that Ardith made a pretty good idea, with the six movies. I never really liked anime movies, so I dont really want a dq movie to be anime. Also, not many anime movies make the academy awards so..
Okay, quick explanation for those who don't know... (well as quick as I can make it...)
DragonBall, DragonBall Z, DragonBall GT.
Its a series of japanese cartoons based around the life of this spirited young boy with a monkey's tail. Its a martial arts series, so there is a lot of battles. Never seen DragonBall apart from flashbacks in the DragonBall Z series... which starts off with Goku (the main character from DragonBall) who is all grown up and introducing his little boy to his old martial arts buddies from the first series. Then his long-lost evil big brother (OOO Big surprise there *not*) appears out of nowhere and spoils the happy reunion. We find out that Goku is in actual fact an alien (like the monkey tail wasn't a big enough hint!) and he was sent to earth as a child to conquer Earth, but after sustaining a head injury as a child... forgot everything.
Its a really basic storyline once you think about it.
Boy gets adopted by kind old man - boy saves world - boy finds magical items called the dragonballs which were created by earths guardian (who is also an alien shock horror) and gets his wish granted - boys saves the world from earth guardian's evil twin - boy grows up gets married, has a kid - boy finds out he's an alien- and boy saves the world so many times, he takes it up as a hobby, then passes it on to his 10-12 year old son. Who like a smart boy, goes and becomes a scholar.
Seriously it gets repetitive... if you don't like that sort of thing.
If you do, I'll warn you now... its like Outer-Space Jackie Chan meets Bold and the Beautiful (only because it sometimes takes a week for them to power up... or to punch someone on occasion)
And yes it does involve super sayains
(I don't know whether to be slightly ashamed or proud that I can correctly spell the word 'sayain')
