Agreed, he isn't innocent but its not entirely his fault. I guess it should be seeing as he is the man and Jean the woman is the real victim....yeah thats how society sees things today.
i personally think that, honestly, he was tormented by apocalypse, but jean should have tried harder to get through to him...
both of them are highly at fault...
i still think the point stands that to a non telepath, a psychic relationship is never going to be as important as a physical one...
i mean, you have scott, you have jean, emma and xavier... he's been surrounded by telepaths his whole life, but he isn't one. the psychic world is never going to be as important to him as it is to the others...
* again? and willingly? Jean should die a very long time, guys...
* never heard Emma smooching someone since she was with Scott... Emma > Jean with regards to fidelity...
* yes, and also the thingy when he left Madelyne & baby Nate for a newly-resurrected Jean... stupid writers really messed this up...
* it was said that it was really "out-of-character" for Scott to be that cold-hearted and leave his wife and son for his then-girlfriend, so what the stupid "regretful" writers did was to retcon that particular scenario and revealed that Scott's mind was being messed up by the Goblin Queen... that's great...
* the only thing positive with that was, when Scott was defeated by a non-powered Ororo, Scott's mind was being meesed up by Madelyne too, but even if it wasn't, (i read that particular comic myself), Scott's mind was really in Lala land during the duel...
* which is biased, right? and the woman always gets the sympathy...

we are going to have to get used to it. When a man does it, it is because he can't control his hormones, horny, untrustworthy, can't commit, greedy, wants his cake and eat it etc.
When a woman like Jean does it, it is because she was vulnerable, she had needs, Scott didn't completely understand her, she was afraid.
i use to be all about cyclops and Jean Grey, but why the heck not lets just give emma a shot. I mean seriously I am getting tired of Jean Grey. We go through this Phoenix thing in every re-telling of the x-men. Every comic, movie tv show. And honestly Ultimate Jean Grey and a few other incarnations really annoy me. Also it the love triangle between Jean and cyclops and logan was cute but i got tired of that. And Jean could have easily put an end to it, if she wanted too.
* on second thought, is it because of the fact that Wolverine is uber-popular? if so, why don't the writers create a girl for Logan? isn't that easier than inserting that hairy midget into a classic loveteam like Scott and Jean? stupid writers...
I loved Emma Frost before she was with Scott! She was cool. I liked Jean and Scott together but in the end Scott's character started to annoy the crap outta me! No I don't like Scott and Emma together, but I don't think I'd like Scott and Jean together anymore either. So all in all I'd rather he be alone.
That's why I don't like him, he's annoying when he's alone it's like he can't stand up and be a man when he's alone he's got to be with a girl in order not to be a whimp? I mean really he reminds me of most of my friends who aren't happy unless they have a boyfriend.
I believe you need to be your own person before you can be with someone and I thought Scott was when he was with Jean... but apparently not. So hence my dislike of current comic book Scott.
I do like him in alternate universes, some cartoons and so on.
To answer this question, I'd say no. I can't stand Emma Frost. I feel like she stole Scott from Jean, and no matter how much they've tried to romanticize these two, I never liked them.
