 Panic Room
It was good!
Not as suspensful as I thought it would be, but it was relatively unpredictable.
Some of the lines between the burgulars were a little cheesy, and some parts were just ridiculous, like when [SPOILER - highlight to read]: towards the end of the movie, Jodi Foster knocks one of the burgulars in the head with a sledgehammer, and he falls down two floors! Then he gets up, walks up the stairs and attackes her!! ! Yeah right!!
As a Real Estate student, I was shocked at the damage done to that fabulous townstone!

Ugh. I hated it. I thought it was so ridiculous and predictable. Jodie's great, and she could do infinitely better than this crappy movie. plus [SPOILER - highlight to read]: my baby jared leto gets shot in the head :*(...
Lame movie. Don't see it. If you really want to, just wait until it comes out on vid. It's not worth $8.25.

panic room
man this david fincher guy has got some promise. while i wasnt a big fan of fight club and its over the top end gimmick, the visual power of the film was incredible, and panic room just builds on that power with some outstanding exagerated directing.
the movie is about a single mother named meg and her daughter who on their first night in a new house is attacked by some generic looking robbers in search for a secret stash of money hidden in the house. they take refuge in the panic room.
As i stated above, when we first meet the robbers they seem generic and somewhat stupid. (ski masks, a drug adict, one that looks like a bum). but as teh movie goes on they each develop brilliantly in their own ways, while i wont say how exactly because that would be giving away some plot. it is intresting to watch. the movies got some of david fincher's classic epic depiction of all the characters, and more of his classic dark eerie images that has made his movies so infamous. its a good film if you liked any of his previous works, especially se7en.

Hired this last night cus there wasn't anything else.
Didn't enjoy it that much, I thought some of the directing was good with good angles and focus and stuff but the film got a little slow towards the end I felt.
One saving grace was that Foster walks around in a low cut top for most of the film. Yowza!

I agree with the original post Fincher has a way of making movies that I really enjoy, i.e. his use of various cameras, angles, and lighting. Did he use the same DoP for both films?

really liked it. its great. every character is so cool! the kid was a great pick , she sure looks like foster!cool story to. fotography is really dark  did you know the voice on the phone, the one that anwers when meg calls her husband is nicole kidman?! she was suppose to do this movie but got hurt or a prior engagement ran late! cant remember!

It was ok. Boondock Saints was better. The villains came off as really pussy to me, except for that one dude with the mask (Raoulle, was it?). He was a freak. That was kinda sick when he got his fingers closed in the door tho.
Movie was ok. Step above crap. Don't spend money to get it..lmao...
