It's time to put John Gardener and Raymond Benson Bond Novels into film

Why have EON refused to adapt the continuation novels for their own films. There are 21 genuinely enthralling novels still sitting in the closet, waiting to be adapted to film. I think the time has come where EON has to resort to the novels?

If ever there was a time to adapt these novels, it would be now. It’s the start of a new era. A new Bond, a new direction. Just imagine Bond 21: High Time To Kill, based on Raymond Benson’s 1999 novel. Bond 22 would be Doubleshot, based on Raymond Benson’s 2000 novel and finally, Bond 23: Never Dream Of Dying, based on Raymond Benson’s 2001 novel. The Union trilogy is bound for success. Exotic villains, beautiful women, masterful locations and an ingenious plot to go with each title; what more could one want? A trilogy is just what the series needs. Something to keep the movie-goers on edge.

From adapting these novels is this way more films can be produced in shorter periods of time; which, in turn, means more money for EON and more Bond adventures.

So it comes down to this. EON’s time to make their decision: take on the novels or back the current writers to come up with something original that the fans enjoy. Most unlikely! But I suppose, ultimately all EON want is to make money and not chase the real “Cubby” Broccoli dream. I truly enjoy reading the novels, but I don't know when can it be adapt into film.

well, I would think that the Broccolis, who still hold the rights, want to jump on recent problems... like they had oil in TWINE and media in TND and such

but with the recent stroublings, perhaps there is a chance they'll go to the non-fleming stories to get them filmed but I highly doubt it will happen anytime soon though

that's quite a lot, but I don't think that those of the '80s can be considered?

Well I heard rumours that the producers might adapt Casino Royale into film for Bond 21 and that novel is very old. I think it was written in 1954.

I believe a TV series about bond would ruin the entire idea.
the cartoons about james bond junior were already annoying

The Broccoli family is running out of ideas. Why on earth dont they use the Gardner and Benson novels? They have another 30 years of fresh material there!

If they make the novels into film, I think they would change the actual story to something new and refreshing espcially with the old ones. Like the Ian Fleming's novels that has nothing to do with the movie's plot.

They did an animated STAR TREK series back in the 70s. And put a bit of effort into it. An animated Bond one would be up to The Franchise of course and you know only too well how they have their heads up their own asses... roll eyes (sarcastic)

At least he'd probably sound better than Clint Eastwood in PAINT YOUR WAGON! sick

Bar for Clint singing to the trees LITERALLY, it's an enjoyable enough time waster! smile
