well you usually have a program that takes clips either your DV camera or VCD and convert it into DVD...like videowave for example. what kind of programs do you have?

You would be better creating a SVCD with Nero. It doesn't do DVD's well.

Or did you mean NTSC or PAL DVD's ? If so doesn't really matter.
