Karate Kid would win. He may be 'human,' but he has studied all forms of martial arts in the known galaxy (he is from the future -the year 2966- and came to our present).
Karate Kid is skilled in every form of combat known in the galaxy, from boxing to savate to kendo. He has also made it a point to become an expert with every weapon used in hand-to-hand combat, from fencing foils to Jovian Trident spears to Krishnu gauntlets from Gaman Tol. The Legion normally excludes heroes who use weapons, but with Val they are only a sideline. Super-karate is his specialty, and with it he has done super-human things. By building up the amount of chi (life-energy) into his body Karate Kid can increase his strength, speed, endurance and toughness .
He was admitted to the Legion of Superheroes after standing up to Superboy in a fight.
Reed would have no chance in a fight against Karate Kid. This dude makes Shiva Woosan and Batgirl seem like punks.
The only way Reed could win is if he used his mind. That way Reed would have a shot.
However if Reed wore his spandex and tried to stretch around KK then the fight (if it can even be called that) would be over before it even started.
When it comes to martial arts two names stand out. In Marvel it is Shang Chi. In DC it is Karate Kid.
All others have to kneel (be they Black Panther and Capt America or Batman and Deathstroke).
Reed would also be on bended knee.
Karate Kid would beat him up so badly that he would lose his elasticity.
what about iron fist for your list?
no martial artist can take down mr fantastic regardless of increased strength, if bullets don't hurt him fists wont either it's a no contest match up reed would cream him
it doesn't matter how hard he hit's, it'd be like punching water. and i only used bullets as an example, it's not like bullets are the upper limit of reeds resistance, just an unfortunatley very well known weapon that is easily understandable as something that humans can't take without injury
Iron fist is great. As is MoonDragon. And obviously characters like Shiva Woosan and Batgirl (the Cassandra Cain batgirl who can kick Batman's behind) are greats. Deathstroke is deadly and Elektra magnificent. Daredevil acrobatic and Azrael mysterious. And Richard Dragon is second in command at DC.
But in the end it always boils down to Shang Chi in Marvel, and Karate Kid in DC. (Iron Fist knows many martial arts, including one mystic one that allows him to channel his Chi into his 'iron fist' attack. Karate Kid, on the other hand, knows ALL martial arts in the UNIVERSE, and has Chi attacks that would make Iron Fist go ga-ga. Karate Kid is as beyond Iron Fist as Iron Fist is beyond Mary Jane - probably more).
Iron Fist is a great, and his energy fist technique has amazing potence. But he would be dismantled by Shang Chi and humiliated by Karate Kid.
As for fists being unable to hurt Reed, you might be surprised to learn that Wolverine and DareDevil have hurt him.
If Wolverine's adamantium-laced fists, and DareDevil's all too human ones, can hurt Reed, what in the blazes do you think Karate Kid could do to him?
Seriously speaking Reed would literally lose his elasticity once Karate Kid was done with him.
The only chance for Reed would be to keep his distance away from Karate Kid, and try to use his mind to come up with some stratagem or weapon. Then he MIGHT have a chance.
Or he could flee to another dimension.
if mr fantastic was to will his body into a supple enough form i don't think a punch from the hulk would hurt him..... just move him, like if you punch a towel on a washing line. mr F could wrap himself around this karate guy and suffocate him (like he tried with the hulk in contest of champions 2)
