completely featureless environment
no outside influences
At normal power levels.
No holds barred / do or die
Kitty Pryde has intangiblity and Buffy has her Slayer Scythe.
They know about each other before hand
Keep in mind that the Slayer Scythe is no ordinary weapon and has vast magical properties. Kitty is also a skilled martial artist.
