Anakaris is great to (he's great to use against large characters), his dash is fast and his combos (which has long range).

Though now I'm curious, what Capcom characters do you think are worth bothering with, Stat1c?

Don't say Strider, he's nothing without Doom behind him.

Thinking this with some more dept, my real only "Top Tier" Capcom characters are Dhalsim (who I now think is #1 Capcom character eventhough I might have contradicted myself in earlier posts; but whatever), T.Bonne, Captain Commando, Ruby Heart Cammy and yes, Strider (Megaman was another worthy choice but realized that he's only useful with good assist such as Sentinel-y or Dr. Doom-b to even come close to being very effective IMO). I still have a soft spot for Strider and still think he's pretty good as a solo character with his many tools such as his wall climb (which will ANNOY many lower tiers to death), wall jump which can reset the double jump (if I remember correctly) thus being airborne longer to make ground characters (such as Cammy to an extent) difficult for them to catch you. His Oroboros super can still keep you locked down even without Dr. Doom (without the chip damage) in which you can hope to crossup your opponent by teleporting above them and attack them. Even with one of the worst vitalities in the game, a good solo Strider player can still in fact be of some use IMO.

Dhalsim is good. Really good. He has a GREAT ground air dash (which rivals that to even Magneto) GREAT air mobility (can also travel in 8 different direactions like Magneto and Storm), great poking/keep away game w/ incredible recovery, GREAT air runaway game, Good and damaging combos; the only thing lagging IMO are his lack of good supers (almost like Omega Red; who has great specials and normal attacks but some shitty ass supers) and his mediocre assists.

I'll add the rest later

I'm surprized you havent mentioned Cammy, she has a great and invincible assist, fast, can combo pretty well, has some invincibility on some of her moves. That and some of her specials hit low, which is uncommon and can catch people off guard

Strider and Doom are a dangerous assist duo

Con't

Cammy is also a great character in the top of the hill so to say from the Capcom roster. GREAT as an anti-air assist (has incredible invincibility which can go through virtually ANYTHING at the peak of her momentum), has a GOOD air combo to super for good damage and good DHC priority when timed right (good when DHC'ed to Storm's Hailstorm), has her Cannon Drill (which is almost as notorious as her Cannon Spike) special which can be used as an alternative for her lack of air dashing which also adds to her double jumping ablility for GOOD air mobility, and good ground dashing speed for poking/rushing tactics. Some things that she does lack is of course, like any TRUE pixie in this game, is a good projectile special, the limited rushing tactics (you can pretty much block low all day and succeed), and somewhat bad recover on her supers. Great character nonetheless.

Captain Commando is THE anti-air assist of the whole game in my opinion (but with Dr. Doom being the best OVERALL assist in the game IMO). Although his point character abilities don't match his notorious anti air assist role, that doesn't mean he can't hang solo. He is still GOOD as a point character, but a lot of people, and sometimes even SOME very experienced players, don't use him correctly. He has a good damaging Captain Fire projectile special which can or cannot be rollable (depending on which punch button you use) which are pretty much equally as damaging, Has a good chipping and damaging overhead Captain Strike (Sho the Ninja) special which can't really combo well but can lead to nice lockdown tactics if used right, and Captain Strike (Jennety the Mummy) can keep your opponents grounded if trying to get off the ground (GOOD anti-Hailstorm technique). He also does have some good ground combos which can be linked to specials and supers (most typically c.lk, c.hp, Captain Corridor XX Captain Sword super) that are effective in his overall performance, good wake up game using his Captain Corridor XX Captain Sword which works well against rush characters (which can also be a risk taker) and has the MOST dangerous regular grab in the entire game which can DEDUCT 100% OF YOUR OPPONENT'S LIFE (if mashed correctly). Just like his strenghts, his flawed weaknesses include his lack of mobility in the air (his Captain Kick special is exclusively as a ground only special unfortunately), has HIGHLY risk taking supers with BAD recovery, and poor recovery on some of his specials. Captain Commando is in my opinion a rather risk taking chraracter overall but if used properly can be very effective.
