"The Sickness" is indeed a Disturbed original. Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine covered it, and they used it for the movie.

Richard Cheese has 2 albums out, all lounge style covers of metal and hop hop tunes and they are ****ing hilarious. I need to buy the damn things.

"day of the dead" remake... i hope that they dont get the idea to do what they did with "dawn of the dead". does anyone know who is making it? i hope that the crew who made the "dawn of the dead" remake continue in the horror genre because they have the creative idea of it. but they should def look at independent films because their style had a very independent feel and i think they could really bring more independent films in to the main stream, esp. since they did a great job with "dawn of the dead"

They aren't going to make a remake for Day of the Dead. Because Romero owns the rights to that movie. Which means Hollywood can not turn it into crap for the MTV generation. He also owns the rights for Night of the Living Dead and they already remade it in the 90s. Looks like all you people who want to see an action packed fast zombie movie would have to wait for the sequel for 28 Days Later or House of the Dead. Or they could make a sequeal for the remake of Dawn and call it teenage mutant ninja zombies. Happy Dance

I just watched Dawn of the dead 2004 film a second time. My brother and friend wanted to see it so i went for a second ride. Awesome movie!

Something I just picked up this 2nd time around though. At the very begining when Ana is in the hospital talking to the doctor, the doctor is on the phone trying to convience his buddy to go golfing with him and "steve". His friend is reluctant to going since "steve" is going. Is what you derive from that scene. It just so happens that there is a "Steve" at mall that is obnoxious and is golfing on the roof (;

ok so i just saw dawn of the dead for the third time now. and im am impressed that i have not seen a single editing error, which is really awesome for a first time director. but i did notice that som of the acting was pretty bad, and that some of the one liners dont really make sense or work.

IMPORTANT QUESTION?

ok im just curious. during the end when the credits are going back and forth with the camera, ther is a spot when i first saw the movie that their was a night lens shot of a girl. now during the 2nd and 3rd viewing i have yet to see this, but then again i always seem to turn my head when the part came. but the night lens shot looked a hell of alot like the quality of the Paris Hilton video. so my question is did anyone else we this night shot, or is this a prank that some guy working at the theater did? and it does make sense that it might work because it was the first viewing of the film, since i went to the 1 pm showing of friday. and i do know alittle bout the guys who work there because my ex g/f use to work there and i wouldnt hold it past one of them doing htat.
i dont know... just food for thought...

I agree that there was little to no character development, but other than that the movie was no less than perfect thumb up

The coolest character

Since we are talking about Character Developement.

I think the character with the most developement/Coolest

isssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Michael - Jake Webber

He keeps his cool through the whole ordeal. He is Rational. Comes up with solid plans. Paint signs on the roof. Comes up with the chainsaw idea. Tough enough to admit someone needed to be killed. Wasnt afraid to go out on the street when he had to. Was humorous at times.. It was insinuated that he shagged the hottest girl in the movie. The second hottest girl was all of his marbles at the end. Wasnt selfish and stayed behind when he got infected.

I think he was the most developed character and did an excellent job on his part

I agree w/ you that Michael was the most developed of them, but the examples you gave don't really characterize him. The thing that I think gave him the most depth was when he talked about his best and worst jobs (for spoiler purposes I won't say them)

-the others were good to though thumb up

His actions didnt give you insight to his personality? Not everything is black and white man

Saw DOTD today and it was really good, i would say it was a remake in name only.
because i new what was gonna happen when the credits rolled, from this thread, it was funny watching people starting to walk out then stop in the aisles when they got to the island.
It wont stay with me the way the original did. But it was good fun.
And when the girl went for her dog, i would left her dumb ass over there.

I just watched it on Friday night! It is ALOT like the original. They do not have an answer as to why zombies are roaming or what started it. I really liked the original and enjoyed this one as well. big grin
