The first Mimic allowed to take on the powers of five closest to him and will instantly leave him once he's out of radius (much like Gideon). The second Mimic retained a number of abilities for a duration with restriction of distance, but he was merely a shadow to the one in Exiles. Which version? The first incarnation (very fast at adapting to a power) and the Exiles version (skilled leader and warrior) could take Morph..

Mimic's abilites is to mimic powers, while Morph metamorphs and has a certain degree of abilities that allow for replicating powers.
